Prof. Robert Tanguay Joins Biobide's Scientific Advisory Board

We are really proud to announce the recent incorporation of Prof. Robert Tanguay to Biobide’s Scientific Advisory Board.

 

Robert Tanguay is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology and Director of the Oregon State University Superfund Research Program. He is also the Director of the Sinnhuber Aquatic Research Laboratory and Director of the OSU Environmental Health Sciences Center. He received his BA in Biology from California State University-San Bernardino, his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of California-Riverside and postdoctoral training in Developmental Toxicology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He serves on a number of academic, commercial and federal advisory boards and is on the editorial board for several scientific journals, authoring more than 250 manuscripts and book chapters across numerous disciplines.

 

Over the past several years, he has pioneered the use of zebrafish as a systems toxicology model and recently developed automated high throughput instrumentation and workflow to accelerate discoveries in zebrafish. Major focus on identifying chemicals and mixtures that produce neurotoxicity.

 

We are honoured to have Prof. Robert Tanguay as one of our scientific advisors and we have no doubt that his knowledge and wide experience will help us to continue providing our clients the latest developments in zebrafish, specially in the developmental and neurotoxicity field.
