About me

After completing her BSc in Biology and a MSc in Aquaculture, she received a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Institute of Aquaculture of Torre la Sal - CSIC where she did a Ph.D. After completing her BSc in Biology and a MSc in Aquaculture, she received a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Institute of Aquaculture of Torre la Sal - CSIC where she did a Ph.D. program under the supervision of Dr. Silvia Zanuy. During this time, she worked on understanding fish spermatogenesis and developing new tools to apply gene therapy in fish. In 2013, Dr. Mazón joined the CMBI-MRC centre at Imperial College London as a postdoc research associate in the laboratory of Prof. Serge Mostowy, where she established zebrafish as a model to study host pathogen interactions in human infectious diseases, including Salmonella, Shigella and Pseudomonas. In April 2018, Dr. Mazón joined Biobide as a Study Director and she has been managing projects related to infectious diseases, immunotoxicity, teratogenicity and endocrine disruption.
