Ainhoa Alzualde

Ph.D. in Biological Sciences – Physical Anthropology, Animal Physiology and Genetics from the University of the Basque Country, specialized in diseases related to nervous system, particularly in neurodegenerative and behavior related diseases (Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and dementia). Dr. Alzualde has mastered a wide range of molecular biology techniques and after working for some years in Biodonostia Research Center, she became a project manager in Biobide in 2009. Since 2012 Dr. Alzualde has been working as Study Director and she has been in charge of developing behavior, neurotoxicity and neuroprotection studies as well as setting up, validating and developing new toxicity assays, such as cardiotoxicity, hepatotoxicity or ecotoxicity.
